Connectors Section

 
Connectors are used to define a data link that communicates between Agent Guidance and an external system, such as an email server or Single Sign On provider. The specific configuration and capabilities vary between each Connector type, but typically include some authentication details to link to the desired system, and some configuration to specify how the established link is to be used.
 
The currently available Connectors within Agent Guidance are listed below. Please note that visibility of specific Connectors is controlled by the System Licence.
Connector
Description
Defines a connection to an API that acquires and maintains an API authentication bearer token for use in a web service-enabled Field.
Defines a connection to an email account via Basic Authentication that can be used to populate the Social Dashboard with received emails to be actioned.
Defines a connection to an Office 365 email account that can be used to populate the Social Dashboard with received emails to be actioned.
Defines a connection to an Office 365 email account that can be used to send emails from within a record, or from System processes within Agent Guidance.
Defines a connection to a generic email account via Basic Authentication that can be used to send emails from within a record, or from System processes within Agent Guidance.
Enables and generates an authentication key for a SCIM connection to Agent Guidance.
Defines a connection to a Cirrus account that can be used to send simple messages from within a record.
Defines a connection to a MiSecure account that can be used to send simple messages from within a record.
Defines a connection to a Qliq account that can be used to send simple messages from within a record.
Defines a connection to a TigerConnect account that can be used to send simple messages from within a record.
Defines a connection to a Twilio account that can be used to send simple messages from within a record.
Defines a connection to an Identity Provider (IdP) that can be used to provide Single Sign On (SSO) functionality from within Agent Guidance.
Defines a connection to a Twilio account that can be used to send simple messages messages from within a record.

How To

Select a Connector type from box at the top-left side of the screen, and then add or select an existing Connector. Configuration options for the selected Connector will then be displayed, as well as the ability to activate/deactivate the Connector.

Type

The type of Connector can be selected here.

Search

Filter the Connector list by name, for the selected type.

The currently selected Connector will be highlighted.

Connector Status

Connectors display an icon indicating whether the Connector is active or inactive.

Add New Connector

Clicking this lets you create a new Connector of the currently selected type.
 
The chosen name should be concise, yet distinctive and descriptive, as it will be used elsewhere within Agent Guidance to choose which Connector is used in a situation. The name must be unique within this Connector type, but Connectors of different types can share a common name.

The name of the currently selected Connector.

Type Name

The internal name for the type of the selected Connector, which is used elsewhere within Agent Guidance to choose with Connector is used in a situation.

Settings

The configuration options for the selected Connector, including whether it is active or inactive.

Delete

Any Connectors that aren't required any more can be deleted.

Once the Connector has been configured, the changes must be saved to take effect.
